The Murrumbidgee General Practice Network is a non profit organisation providing support for general practice and primary health care services in south western New South Wales. We wish to employ an Aboriginal Health Project Officer who will work with local communities, health providers and other agencies to improve the access to primary health care for Aboriginal people in this area. This position is based in Leeton but will be working mainly in the Narrandera and Darlington Point areas.

This position is part time, working four days per week.

Remuneration:  Total package $50,000 - $55,000 p.a. including salary packaging, private use of a motor vehicle and superannuation (including base salary of $40,000 to $44,000 p.a. part time).

Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent (NB applicant’s race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1977, NSW) and have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and have established links with their local Aboriginal community.
